臺灣學術界最大規模的「全國管理碩士論文獎」,由社團法人中華民國管理科學學會主辦,富邦人壽保險公司贊助之「2020富邦人壽管理博碩士論文獎」於8月15日假富邦國際會議中心舉行頒獎典禮。

本系碩士班應屆畢業生范大偉David Erhan同學由洪堯勳、鄭辰仰老師指導,以Relationship Between R&D Investment and Exploratory Innovation in Family Firms論文從723件投稿中脫穎而出,獲得碩士組-企業經營與策略管理論文優勝獎。獲得獎金6萬元(學生4萬元,指導教授2萬元)及獎座、獎狀。

 


論文摘要

     Built on the awareness that exploration strategy is one of the keys for companies to survive in this intensive global business competition from challenges and disruptions, especially in the IT industry. This research explores family firms that did the exploration strategy to see the relationship between the R&D investment and exploratory innovation that they generated. How they can implement the strategy to get a more exploratory innovation, and this study uses the deviation between cash flow right and control right as a moderator variable to see the impact of ownership intervention in the family company, whether making a good impact on getting exploratory innovation or made worse. This study uses the data from IT family firms in Taiwan that publicly listed on Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) between 2000-2017 and using fractional logistic regression to prove the proposed hypotheses.

The empirical result shows that there is inverted U-shaped relationship between R&D investment and exploratory innovation in the family company and the divergence ownership is moderates the original inverted U-shaped in a good way. It means when there is involvement from the ownership, family firms will get more exploratory innovation while they just utilize less resources on R&D investment.
